The importance of spraying hard hats is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. **Protection against head injuries**: There may be dangers such as falling from heights and being hit by objects at the construction site. Wearing a hard hat can provide effective protection for the head and reduce head injuries caused by accidents. The hard shell of the hard hat can bear the impact of falling objects and play a role in reducing injuries.
2. **Protection against electric shock**: Construction sites often involve electrical equipment and high-voltage lines, which pose a risk of electric shock. The insulating material of the hard hat can effectively prevent the occurrence of electric shock accidents and protect the lives of construction workers.
3. **Improve visibility**: Hard hats are usually made of bright colors and reflective materials, so they can improve the visibility of construction workers at the work site and reduce the probability of being accidentally injured by others.
4. **Buffering and shock-absorbing effect**: There is a gap of 25~50mm between the shell and the lining. When an object hits the hard hat, the shell does not deform due to force and directly affect the top of the head. The cap shell is oval or hemispherical with a smooth surface. When an object falls on the cap shell, the object cannot stop and slide down immediately; and the force borne by the impact point of the cap shell is transmitted to the surroundings, and the force reduced by more than 2/3 through the cap lining buffer.
5. **Dispersed stress effect**: The force borne by the impact point of the cap shell is transmitted to the surroundings, turning the force point into a force surface, thereby avoiding the stress concentration of the impact force at a certain point on the cap shell and reducing the force per unit area.
6. **Biomechanical protection**: The standard stipulates that the helmet must be able to absorb an impact force of 4900N. This is because biological experiments have shown that the maximum limit of the human cervical spine when subjected to force. If this limit is exceeded, the cervical spine will be injured, causing paralysis in mild cases and endangering life in severe cases.
7. **Sign and warning effect**: In production and construction, the helmets worn by people have different colors, and different colors represent different meanings. For example, yellow helmets are the most common, red helmets are generally worn by technicians, managers or Party A, and blue helmets are generally worn by technicians.
Through these functions, spraying of safety helmets can not only improve their protective performance, but also to a certain extent improve the safety awareness of construction workers and the overall safety level of the construction site.
